Race the Light 2011  Well, after a hectic first 2 weekends without a Race the Light opportunity, we now only have 3 Fridays left in September in which to post your best time. September 16th, 23rd an 30th. Usual rules apply, £5 to get the t-shirt. Every Friday evening start time 6:30- same course Branksome to Poole Harbour and back. Sunset is 19:29 this week. Windfest results. Photos Handicap results. The event was run with each paddler being given a handicap. 12.7 km race across Bournemouth bay from Sandbanks to Hengistbury Head. The first to hit the beach was called first. After some major over shooting of the finish by the front runners ( must have been enjoying the runs too much) the result were as follows. : OM 1st Kent Perry

Poole Harbour Race. Postponement until 18th September The weather prediction for Sunday the 11th has now settled into a Force 7 gusting Force 9. Not good for putting up marquees let alone racing boats. The weather for the following Sunday appears much better. I’m reliant on the support of Poole and Boscombe lifeguards for rib and radio cover. Provided they can cover us I’ll postpone until the week after, Sunday the 18th I’ll let everyone know over the next few days if it’s a goer !! Andy Coomes PHCC Secretary
