This is a difficult one, but read on.
There are several outlets in the West Country where you can buy surfskis, but generally they are quite expensive over £1000. Surfskis are expensive for a good reason. They are exceptional seaworthy crafts, and loads of technology goes into creating a mould and then setup production. We have loads to thank the innovators for their efforts. The ski types can be classified into Long Distance (LD) and International Lifesaving Spec (ILS). The LD skis are usually longer and resemble your K1 hull design. The ILS skis usually have a snitch or wave deflector. In the UK these are the more common as there are some local manufacturers and over time the Surf lifesaving movement has supported the introduction and racing of these crafts as club equipment. If you are new to surfskis my advice is get either LD or ILS. There are more ILS skis around so the second hand market is better. - Try the classifieds on this site or put the word out that you are looking for a ski. You will soon find one that will tied you over until you confident on it and then you can be more picky.
- Go to Links, i have a long list of Manufacturers and suppliers.
